What Employers Can Do About Menopause In The Workplace

Employers should create a safe and supportive environment to help employees who are going through menopause. They can do this by creating awareness and providing information about menopause and its potential effects. Employers should also provide flexible working arrangements that accommodate physical and emotional changes associated with menopause. This could include adjusting shift patterns, providing additional breaks, or allowing employees to work from home.

Additionally, employers should provide access to support services, such as counseling or additional medical care, as needed. By taking these steps, employers can ensure that their employees feel supported and cared for when going through menopause in the workplace.

In my new book, Making Menopause Work In The WorkPlace, you’ll learn what impact menopause symptoms can have on a woman, how it will affect her work, and simple ways employers and colleagues can help.
